Dirty Electricity - this is a term that few people know about, but is becoming more well known in the area of EMF remediation.
The recently popular way to deal with dirty electricity is to use plugin capacitance-based Stetzer style filters. Most people who are interested in mitigating dirty electricity will buy these type of filters, along with an EMI meter sold by the same company. They test the field with the meter, then plug the filter into an outlet, and finally will plug in the EMI meter to test the line again, and the EMI shows a reduction in signal.
To the layperson with no electrical background and understanding, this can seem impressive. However, these type of filters can actually make the magnetic component on the line much worse, as we will detail in full below.
Dirty electricity not only has health impacts, but it can also impact all your electronics that are connected to the mains power!
A basic understanding of “Dirty Power” is, “electricity that does not behave in the way we expect it to” and behaves erratically instead. Our homes have electrical systems that “expect” a specific voltage and frequency. When the electricity that is delivered to our homes does not match these expectations, the result is, failing and malfunctioning equipment.
Erratic Electrical Problems include:
- Power interruptions
- Power sags and swells caused by a variation in RMS voltage
- Variations in the frequency of the power
- Unbalanced voltage
- Surges or Transients in the voltage
- Waveform distortions
We interviewed Terry Stotyn of Cratus Canada LTD (video interview posted below), who makes our SineTamer to exacting specs here in the USA. We partnered with them, as they have the best dirty electricity solution we have found anywhere, when compared to other dirty electricity remediation approaches. Their technology uses frequency attenuation and can monitor 360 degrees of the sine wave, which an oscilloscope will clearly demonstrate.
We recommend that you read through the text below to orient yourself with dirty electricity and the terminology. Then watch the interview we conducted with Terry in order to better understand what we are talking about, and to hear some new information that he has never shared in an interview previously.
It appears that many online outlets do not fully educate people on all the aspects of dirty electricity in a comprehensive way. Our goal is provide the most accurate information and the best solutions we have found, so you can make the most informed choice about how to protect your family and electronics from dirty electricity.
Sine Tamer will only help with the power coming into your house, and is not a viable solution for all types of EMF, especially incoherent EMF transmitted from Wifi routers, cell towers, etc. These devices transmit a lot of incoherent noise on their carrier waves that affects our cellular biology. For years, we have recommended Blushield EMF protection products. On top of all the years of anecdotal testimonials and positive effects on livestock, Blushield is the only EMF protection device with an independent review board certified clinical trial and PubMed indexed peer reviewed medical journal paper that demonstrates its effectiveness across multiple biomarkers. You can read about that here.
That being said, if you can reduce the field effect that dirty electricity creates in your home, the better off you will be regarding your EMF hygiene. We have personally noticed a beneficial effect and after vetting everything we could get our hands on and all the companies we could speak with, we landed on Sine Tamer as our favorite dirty electricity solution for a number of reasons we will outline below.

Dirty Power and the Health Risks
“Dirty Power/Electricity” is a term utilized in many conversations these days, and it relates to the conditions made by the different power providers, and their processes of producing the power we utilize in our power grids of today. The terms “Dirty Power” and “Dirty Electricity” are one and the same. The byproducts that are a result of producing power for our usage are corrupted with anomalies that were not in existence 20 years ago, but have been introduced onto our power systems from the new high-tech, faster technology of our electronics and the computer age.
This may seem complicated, but the message is, “Dirty Electricity/Dirty Power” is unpredictable energy that causes damage to devices attached to your electrical system, and has detrimental health side effects.
The traditional power that has been supplied for decades by our electrical service providers has been relatively clean for over a hundred years, but due to increasing demand, additional sources have been required in order for the power providers to be able to keep up with the increased demand for electricity. These new sources of electricity that have been added to our traditional power come from new technological advancements in wind generated power systems, water generated power systems, and solar generated power systems.
All of the “Dirty Power” produced by these systems comes from their inverters. Inverters are an intricate part of all secondary power production, and they are utilized to switch the DC power produced in the process and convert it to AC power, the type that powers appliances and devices throughout our homes. It is important to note that this generated form of “Dirty Power” can be significant in strength, travels for miles on top of our generic power, and does not weaken with distance. All of these newer power generating systems and their advanced technology unfortunately have byproducts of their production that are detrimental to the operation of our everyday sensitive electronics and electrical systems. These byproducts are a form of transients, which become part of the regular Hz frequency of our everyday power. They are introduced onto our power lines in the kHz to MHz frequency ranges, which are higher RF or radio frequencies.
These higher frequency transients are produced by the switch mode power supplies of Smart Meters and the Smart Grid. RF or kHz frequencies have been studied for decades by doctors and militaries worldwide, and found to have serious health risks on the human body. These higher frequencies flow on top of the regular power circuit wiring within a home or building, thereby becoming an antenna, and are produced by the Smart Meters' internal components. Radiation of these frequencies is emitted outward from the internal wiring approximately 5-7 ft into the room from the walls. According to many reports on this form of radiation, it breaks down the cell structure within the human body, and can cause numerous serious health problems.
Surge Suppression was originally designed by our engineers over 40 years ago for the sole means of protecting our buildings and houses from the effects of devastating lightning strikes. This technology has remained relatively untouched for all manufacturers of suppression equipment ever since.
This older 20th century technology was adequate for protecting electrical systems from lightning and power provider anomalies for many years, but over time, our computer and microprocessor technology has evolved enormously, supplying society with extremely fast production equipment as well as the ability to function in our lives virtually wirelessly.
Over time, our microprocessor technology has continued to get faster and faster, and itbecame apparent to our engineers that a newer, more sensitive technology needed to exist in our suppression. A technology that can not only keep up with the ever-changing trends of our speedy computers, controls, and microprocessors, but a new circuitry protection was requiredto mitigate the effects of the dirty power conditions. Dirty power is comprised mainly of transients, which are a temporary rise in volts and current of a high energy and short duration.
Transients disrupt, damage, or destroy our electrical and electronic equipment in an instant and/or cause cumulative damage over time resulting in unexplained failures or costly downtime.

Our sine wave forms have become corrupt with transients and the normal clean sine wave form has disappeared, with the new norm pictured below, or most often, significantly worse.

Older suppression technology incorporates fixed clamp technology. Simply explained, protection is clamped at a fixed level above and below the sine wave form.

When the transients gain a height of the clamps within the suppressor, they are clipped off at the predetermined levels as shown on next diagram. This however is 20th century technology, when the prime protection required was for catastrophic electrical anomalies like lightning or shorted main wires from the power service provider. This technology has little or no effect on any of the transients within the sine wave form. The transients within the sine wave form are the most harmful to our newer 21st century electronics and microprocessors.

SineTamer’s unique Frequency Attenuation Circuitry brings about this kind of resulting protection no matter what level or severity that the transient anomaly induces.

The Larger Concerns About “Dirty Power”
A terrible thing about having a corrupted source of “Dirty Electricity” is that it also affects us, the people, that live in the vicinity of “Dirty Power”. Dr. Sam Milham has studied and written books about these conditions, and his newest book entitled Dirty Electricity is a very good study on the health effects of both power and “Dirty Power”.
You cannot see, hear or smell the problem! Making it difficult to imagine that there is a problem at all. The problem is electrical pollution. This type of pollution can have a very detrimental effect on our health. Just as dangerous as polluted water delivered to your home’s taps, “Dirty Power” delivered to your home circuitry causes a significant health risk to the homeowners. The effects of RF/EMF (radiofrequency electromagnetic fields) on humans and animals are well documented. Studies have indicated that cancers, ADHD, brain tumors, heart palpitations, diabetes and behavioral problems may all have a common link to “DIRTY POWER”. It has been shown to cause problems with human cell “deterioration”, as well as adding to the effects of Electro-Hypersensitivity Syndrome (EHS), which many people suffer from currently, and is growing dramatically every year. This “Dirty Power” RF kHz frequency has been categorized as a type 2 carcinogen by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The SineTamer® brand of surge suppression has been in existence for approximately 20 years, and has been helping industry of all sizes, governments, and the military clean their power, enabling their sensitive electronics and equipment to function normally.
The SineTamer® is not like your average surge suppressor sold in today’s market. It is an engineered transient disturbance filter that monitors 360° of the sine waveform, not at all like the fixed clamped protection of all other units sold today.
The SineTamer utilizes patented circuitry, which enables it to mitigate large transients introduced into our power systems from lightning strikes, right down to the smaller transients from our switches, motors, and electronics, which include the RF kHz frequencies.
This gives the Sine Tamer the ability to provide full spectrum protection and regulation of the sine wave throughout your entire home or office!
The SineTamer® is effective in mitigating the kHz frequencies to lower than 1 volt RMS throughout the day, cleaning the power and freeing it from harmful anomalies on the sine wave. Due to one-of-a-kind circuitry within the SineTamer suppression units, it is the only product worldwide which cleans our buildings' power systems, making them safe for humans, as well as producing a near perfect sine wave for our sensitive equipment to function like it was intended.
It is important to know that these “Dirty Power” transient anomalies on the various forms of power providers equipment can be mitigated at the source of transmission. The SineTamer® suppression units are extremely effective, when correctly installed.
SineTamer® is the only true product of its kind to remove the harmful anomalies of “Dirty Power” to a near zero level, and to supply our houses and buildings with true, clean, non-harmful power.
What is the difference between SineTamer and all the other dirty electricity filters?
To explain the fundamental differences, it is important to first understand the basics of Dirty Power.
Dirty Power is a term used quite openly, and the major contributing factor of Dirty Power is the switching transient. A transient is a very quick (milliseconds or microseconds) voltage spike generated by any kind of switching action within the electrical circuits, by electrical or electronic components. These transients can be a few volts to thousands of volts or amps, and basically, every time something electrically is turned on or off, a reaction is created in the form of a voltage transient. Another way of creating voltage transients is from our electronics, and their Switch Mode Power Supply (SMPS), which is the main component that converts AC power to DC power, which is required for the electronics to function.
It is important to note that the harmful RF and EMI (electromagnetic interference) that is present on our wiring within our houses and buildings from the Smart Meters is produced as a result of the transient action taking place from the SMPS functioning, and not just present on the power. Smart Meters all have SMPSs as part of their electronic functioning within the meters themselves, and this is part of the Smart Meter’s ability to read aspects of power that the older analog meters were incapable of.
As a transient spike rises after it is made, it produces RF (radiofrequency) in the range of 1 kHz all the way up to the MHz ranges. As the transient hits the top of its spike and starts to fall back down to the sine wave form, it creates EMI (electromagnetic interference) as a result. Because of the many transients generated every second from the Smart Meter, the RF and EMI values can be quite high during peak load times of the grid, and this harmful radiating RF and EMI has been studied and shown to affect the human cell structure, creating potential long term health effects.
Plug-in filters, various power filters, and whole house filters that are sold to remove the harmful effects of RF and EMI from our power circuits, are limited in their ability to remove the varying ranges of frequencies generated from the Smart Meters. For the most part, these products simply utilize capacitors, which short or shunt the excess energy away from the power line it is traveling on, and move it to the Neutral wire, or the Ground wire circuits, thus creating harmonics on the electrical system as well. It may appear to be removing this energy when testing with plug-in meters, but in reality, it is not. It simply shifts the energy to another wire, causing other issues within the power itself, and in actuality, causing bigger wiring emissions in the total electrical system.
These other units unfortunately draw power to function (costing you more money to use them) and because of the shunting of the energy from one wire to another, also cause a much higher EMI and EMF level on the internal wiring within a home or building. The SineTamer draws no power to function, only a minute amount to light 2 small LED lights to show that it is functioning properly. The SineTamer absorbs the unwanted energy, disperses it throughout its internal components, and removes the excess energy as a low form of heat onto the ground wire, rather than shunting the energy to another circuit.
The SineTamer® is an actual suppression device, unlike any other suppression unit made today. The SineTamer’s function is to remove the energy from the voltage transients to an almost zero level on the sine wave form, before it starts to gain height, so that very little RF or EMI is generated.
Inside the special protection circuitry are RF and EMI filters, which are part of our Frequency Attenuation filtering circuitry, and those work to remove the higher frequency transients that are above the line voltage power. Once the transients are removed to very low safe level, then there is very little chance for RF and EMI to generate and become troublesome to either the power or the inhabitants of the home.
It is vitally important for health reasons that all modes of the power are protected: Line-Line, Line-Neutral, Line-Ground, and Neutral-Ground; as dirty power can enter into a house’s power supply through the neutral or ground leg, as well as through the power lines themselves. The SineTamer® unit cleans and protects all the different modes of power, and closely tracks the frequency wave itself to remove all the harmful transients from the power circuits.
The Satic Power Perfect units, Stetzer, and Greenwave small plug-in filters simply do not have the same capabilities that the SineTamer does. They are not capable of absorbing the transient energy safely into their internal protection circuitry, nor are they capable of protecting all the different modes of power.
This is apparent by the need to shunt the energy, rather than absorb it into its internal circuitry components. All other suppression devices or power filters manufactured and sold today are voltage initiated to function, whereas the SineTamer is frequency initiated, and a far greater protection and removal level is realized.
So, in conclusion, there is a significant difference between the Satic WH filter and all plug-in filters when compared to a SineTamer® suppression unit.
The only truly accurate way of testing whether a suppression unit or a power filter is working properly is to utilize either a complete power analyzer for line voltage entities, or a battery- or remotely-powered oscilloscope with a high pass filter. These advanced measurement tools are able to read all the different modes of power to accurately show the various harmful higher frequency transients’ strength and magnitudes involved with the Smart Meter and grid.
Other than the SineTamer®, many of the filters sold today that intend to remove this harmful energy fail to offer the proper protection, the capability of monitoring all the different modes of power, or the ability to adequately remove or absorb the unwanted energy safely.
What is Dirty Power or Dirty Electricity?
Dirty Power consists of voltage transients, either the line voltage variety or the higher frequency transients.
What is a Transient?
Transients are made when anything electrical turns on or off, whether it be a switch, lighting, motors, compressors, etc. The resulting sudden switch causes a disruption or spike in the normal flow of the sine wave form. These sharp, sudden and extremely fast spikes can be minor in strength of a few volts to many thousands of volts or amps.
Are Transients harmful to our equipment or electronics?
Yes, transients are extremely detrimental to our electrical equipment as well as our sensitive electronics. They can cause premature failure of motor windings, switching failures, as well as software confusion in the micro-processing of our electronic boards. Most electronic failures or varied operational issues are a direct result of transient activity.
Are Transients harmful to humans?
Yes, it has been proven that the higher frequency transient exposure to humans in the kHz to MHz range may cause cell disruption or deterioration of the human cell structure, causing numerous diseases or sickness.
What is a Smart Meter or Smart Grid?
This is a new instrument that is installed by your power provider to monitor your electrical consumption within your home or building. Its purpose is to replace the older analogue meters which have been in existence for decades. The Smart Grid is a way of the provider to couple everyone’s meters to a common bond or grid which enables the power utility to read the buildings or consumers power consumption information from an external location. The Smart Grid is a worldwide initiative and not just in North America. The new Smart Meters are no longer just a meter that registers the amount of power consumed but is now a collector of information and capable of recording all the different aspects of power within a home or building. Basically, all meters can talk to one another, or an external collector of information, and transmit sensitive information via the air to collectors that collect all the information for the power providers. They are a small computer basically and capable of much greater functioning than the old analogue meters. Are these Smart Meters safe? There are many groups worldwide that have been fighting the implementation of the Smart Meters and the Smart Grids.
There have been many tests done on the negative health effects of the Smart Meter emissions as well as increased bills for the consumer. The Smart Meters have been tested and proven to have many issues associated with them and their transmitting of data to the utility providers, as well as negative health effects from the production of RF and EMF from the Switch Mode Power Supplies within the meters themselves. Many house fires have happened after a Smart Meter was installed, and many people are concerned with the possibility of a fire happening after the installation. Certain precautions should be taken before the Smart Meter is installed in place of the old analogue meter.
How do the Smart Meters produce RF and EMF?
The Smart Meter like all electronics, has a Switch Mode Power Supply in the circuitry within the unit. This SMPS’s function is to take the incoming AC or alternating current power supplied from the utility and convert it to DC power or Direct Current power which all electronics utilize to function. Because of the constant chattering of the switch within the SMPS, it creates thousands of higher frequency transients constantly every second in the kHz range of frequency.
As these transients rise from the spiking action of the transient, they create RF or radio frequency in the kHz range. As the transient spike falls in the decline of the spiking action, it creates EMF or an electro-magnetism force or magnetism. This action is always present when the Smart Meter is on or powered from the grids power, so the emissions are always occurring. This RF and EMF then couples and adds in value to all other Smart Meter emissions within the same transformer grid of homes or buildings and attaches itself onto the incoming line voltage wiring coming into our homes.
This induced RF and EMF utilizes all the wiring inside of the home to act as an antenna for the RF and EMI, radiating off the wiring at a 90° angle and emitting this RF and EMF into our homes for approximately 5-6 Ft. from the walls wiring.
This RF and EMF has been studied and numerous reports have been documented to be very harmful to the human cell structure causing various symptoms and sickness to not only humans but pets and animals as well. This condition of sickness is part of the new Electro-Sensitivity Disorder, (EHS) or basically an allergic reaction to the RF and EMI fields associated with power in general.
How do I Test for these conditions in my home or building?
There are many ways of testing for this type of electro pollution or DE, but the only true accurate way of knowing the exact levels or magnitude is to have someone experienced perform tests on the power with an oscilloscope c/w a high pass filter for this type of RF induced from the Smart Grid. Oscilloscopes always offer the most accurate real data versus the plug-in hand held powered units which are not accurate due to the reduced ability of the units functioning and false readings are often given. Other handheld meters can be utilized to determine if any RF or EMI is present in the home from other sources, but the only true way of accurately determining the levels is with a remotely powered oscilloscope or Spectrum Frequency analyzer. Presently, there are many capable Certified Building Biologists performing these tests and can test a house or building for the presence of these anomalies. Small handheld meters are made and utilized by
Stetzer and Green Wave, but do not cover all the different levels of frequencies or their strength that are present in a home or building. These units should only be used to roughly estimate the levels of RF or EMI and should not be used to accurately diagnose the harmful elevated levels affecting the individuals in a building.
Is there a way to stop this from happening in my home?
Yes. With the installation of a SineTamer® suppression device. The SineTamer® unit is highly effective in removing or drastically lowering the levels of transient activity whether it is from line voltage transients or the higher frequency kHz to MHz levels of transients from the power and Smart Grid. With a SineTamer® device, the home owner receives three levels of protection, first being from catastrophic events like lightning, second is the protection for all the sensitive electronics and electrical equipment in a home, and thirdly, the SineTamers effectiveness in removing all the harmful higher frequencies produced from the Smart Meter and Grid.
Is the SineTamer® a whole house filter?
Yes, the SineTamer® is installed on the incoming breaker panel immediately downstream from the Smart Meter. Once installed correctly by a qualified electrician, the unit will remove or drastically reduce all unwanted transients entering into the home as well as remove or drastically diminish the transients generated from any electrical switching within the house as well. Once installed in a house correctly, all the electrical circuitry is protected from transient activity harming any equipment as well as lowering the higher frequencies down to safe levels of RF and EMF for people and pets.
How does the SineTamer® perform these functions?
The SineTamer® utilizes specially engineered protection circuitry that no other suppression device or power filter has and is not like your average suppression or filter device. The SineTamer® is a specially engineered transient filtration device that monitors all 360° of the sinewave form, unlike all other suppression devices that only fix clamps above and below the peaks of the sinewave forms. All other suppression and power filters made today are triggered by voltage spiking or rises, whereas the SineTamer is triggered by the frequency itself. By carefully tracking the sine wave form
both above and below the actual wave, we can closely monitor the flow of the frequency wave itself and make extremely fast corrections to it to effectively bring the sine wave flow back to near normal. The SineTamer® absorbs the energy from the transient disturbance and effectively disperses it throughout the different modes of internal protection, leaving no residual to enter back onto the power in any way.
The modes of protection are Line to Line, Line to Neutral, Line to Ground, and Neutral to Ground. It is imperative to protect all modes of power as dirty power transients can
easily enter into a household thru the neutral or ground wire as well as the power wires. In the situations where generators, or solar systems are used, it is even more important to protect the different modes and make sure that all modes are protected.
What makes the SIneTamer® different from all other suppression units and power filters?
From information in the above question, all other suppression devices have limited protection capabilities due to where they place their clamping protective levels. With all other suppression devices, all transients that are generated inside the sine wave form are untouched and left alone to still perform damage to electronics and electrical equipment.
In the case of plug-in power filters, they are very limited in protecting against all the different frequencies that need to be removed from the Smart Meter and Power Grid. The small plug-in filters typically utilize capacitors to shunt or short the transient energy to the neutral wire or ground wire, thereby causing different problematic conditions within the power system, and never actually removing the problems from the circuits. These types of filters do not protect all the different modes of incoming power and are simply not capable of removing the energy associated with either the large
transients generated or the smaller ones from the SMPS of the Smart Meters. The SineTamer® can perform this removal of harmful energy due to its vastly different protection circuitry.
When Capacitors are utilized to shunt the energy to other wiring, also draw power to function, so the consumer has a cost involved to use these types of plug-in filters.
Is there a cost to use a SineTamer® unit for the consumer?
No, once purchased and installed, there is no further cost to use a SineTamer® as the SineTamer® utilizes no power consumption to function. The only power consumed by the unit is to light 2 small LED lights which draw millivolts. These lights function to show that each phase is connected properly and being protected, and that the unit is functioning normally. The SineTamer® strictly monitors the power and absorbs the energy, it does not shunt or short the energy using capacitors.
Where is the best place to install the SineTamer® unit?
Typically, the best place to install a SineTamer unit is at the main panel immediately downstream of the Smart Meter. This will enable the unit to perform its function the best and mitigate any transient anomalies from the outside power grid as well as what is induced internally from the house, and if the main panel is outside, the SineTamer® is waterproof and the connectors are watertight, so mounting the unit outside is not an issue.
The main consideration for mounting the SineTamer® is the availability of the breaker point, the neutral lug, and the ground lug to make the lead lengths 6-8 inches for maximum protection. The SineTamer® is internally thermally fused so it can be connected directly to the buss bars, but that is typically a commercial or industrial application and certain other considerations must be made. For the homeowner hook up, it is always recommended to utilize a double pole breaker of any size as there is no power draw from the unit and install the unit at the main incoming panel whether it is outside or inside the building.
How do I hook up a SineTamer®?
Full installation instructions are included in every box for a proper installation. The instructions should be read carefully by the installer as the SineTamer® has special requests and is not like the typical suppression devices that electricians work with every day. A diagram is included to show all the possible mounting spots on a panel and the unit should be mounted as close as humanly possible to the panel to accommodate the shortest possible lead lengths. Typically, the unit should be mounted where access is closest to both the breaker intended for use and the neutral buss for connection. The ground wire should be attached to the main grounding buss with the grounding wire. It matters not whether the unit is mounted right side up, sideways, or upside down, just make sure the two LED lights are able to be viewed and that the unit is fitted for the shortest amount of lead length possible. The leads come from the factory at 20 inches, but they are meant to be reduced and shortened. Inside the box is a plastic conduit sheathing and watertight fitting to be used as well in the installation. There is to be no excess wire, loops, or sags in the wire, just cut to shortest length, and run directly into the panel and into a breaker with no loops or sags. The directions strongly suggest that 6-8-inch leads are ideal for the optimum performance of the SineTamer® unit.
For every inch in length over the 8 inches, an additional 20 to 60 volts per inch can be added to the let thru voltage of the protection, depending on the applied voltage. Lead length and proper mounting is very important when dealing with electro-sensitivity disorder so the SineTamer® unit is able to function to its optimum protection levels. It is very important to keep the lead lengths very short, and with minimal bends.
What if I keep my analogue meter and refuse a Smart Meter?
Unfortunately, just because you do not have a Smart Meter, does not mean you are exempt from receiving all the ill effects of the Smart Meter grid. If your neighbors have a Smart Meter and you do not, you will also receive the harmful Frequencies from the grid thru your analogue meter and into your house. What if I opt out from the Radio On Smart Meter and get a meter that does not transmit information? Unfortunately, many tests have been done on the radio off meters and it has been found that they still produce RF from the SMPS as well as they still transmit at various times.
Does the SineTamer® protect all the electrical equipment in my house?
Yes, once installed correctly, the SineTamer® will protect all your electrical and electronic items from transients generated from both the Smart Grid as well as what is generated from switching or nonlinear loads from within the house that create transients.
Does the SineTamer® save me money on my electrical bill?
Typically, Yes. By removing or drastically reducing the transients associated with Dirty Power, and suppressing them properly, the energy provider’s Smart Meter is no longer capable of recording the peaks of the transients. The Smart
Meter is able to monitor and read these increased levels of voltage spiking and reports it as utilized power, when in reality, it is not power used. The older analogue meters were predetermined with voltage level of 120 volts and the billable kw hours were calculated at that voltage. With the new Smart Meter technology, there is no cap of 120 volts any longer, and the meter is free to interpret the heightened levels of the transient voltage spikes, which can raise a power consumption bill quite considerably. The SineTamer is able to interrupt this information before it is given to the service provider by removing all the transient activity before it is recorded and sent.
Can I use a SineTamer on my Solar System?
Solar system inverters give off an enormous amount of transient activity. The special protection circuitry within the SineTamer is effective for all line voltage transients, including levels of 30 dB of the higher frequencies between 1 kHz and 10MHZ. To totally remove all the increased energy from Solar Inverters, special DNA filters, as well as possibly induction filters, need to be added in addition to the SineTamer to actively remove this increased energy from the inverters. This is due to the DNA Filters and Induction filters not having the capabilities of removing transients, only the higher frequency noise emitted. With the added filtration added to the SineTamer, clean power can be easily achieved for the homeowner or EHS person.
